FAQ’s - PAGE 2
I have several employees who work remotely, can they have extensions?
The short answer is yes. There are 2 ways this can be accomplished. For employees who work from home, a good solution would be to provide the employee with an IP telephone that looks and works like the phones in your office. For employees who travel frequently, a “softphone” can be installed on their laptop. Both of these options work over the internet and have the same functionality as the phones in your office; therefore, the employee can be assigned a 3 or 4 digit extension.
I have a small satellite office in another state with a handful of employees. Do I have to buy a separate phone system for this office?
No, we can install IP telephones in the satellite office that link to the telephone system in the main office over the internet. These phones can be assigned extensions, so calls between the main office and the satellite site will be like calling across the hall (not long distance).
